Bidding works like other online auctions. We do not use Reserves! All items start at a $5 opening bid. When an auction closes, it will say You Won on the item. If a lot receives a new bid in the last minute, it will automatically add 2 minutes to the closing time. The time between lots is between 15 - 20 seconds.
Yes. Once we have a state tax exemption certificate on file, we will happily remove your sales tax. This can be done when you pickup your items.
We email out your invoice within 1 to 2 hours after the last auction lot closes. The pickup days and hours are listed for every auction in the Auction Details. In general, pickup days are Friday and Saturday after the auction from 10 to 6 each day. Questions? Email support@atxauctions.com.
We do NOT offer any shipping via FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc. The only shipping available is to our Stafford location for eligible lots. An additional handling fee will apply.
For winners picking up locally, you can pay with Cash or Card onsite. You can also contact us and request that we bill the card on file. All invoices must be paid by the deadline listed on the auction terms. Unpaid invoices will lead to revoked bidding privileges.
The buyer's premium is a charge in addition to the closing price of an auction item or lot. The winning bidder pays both the closing price and the buyer's premium percentage. We offer a 3% discount (13% vs 16%) on the Buyers Premium for winners who pay in cash onsite.
You May Have Won means the auction reserve was not met and the item or lot will be re-listed on a future auction.
An auction reserve is the minimum price the seller is willing to accept for an item.
The maximum bid is the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item. When you place a max bid, the system will auto-bid for you up to that amount. If the winning bid is lower than your max bid, you are only charged the winning bid price. For example, if you placed a max bid of $101 and the final price was $76, you will only be charged $76 plus any applicable Buyers Premium and Sales Tax.
We do our best to accurately convey the condition of the product in the description field of the listing. We also include pictures of any damage we see. However, we are unable to take every piece out of every box. If an item is not as described, we will honor a return and refund.
The item condition is a clear and accurate description that lets the buyer know whether they are getting something new, used, or something in between, e.g. new open box or used good condition or Incomplete.
Cosmetic damage is superficial damage to an item that does not affect the functionality of an item.
You will be notified by email within two hours of the closing of the auction. You can also login to your hibid.com dashboard for any winning notifications. If you do not see the emailed invoice, please check your junk/spam folder.
